Ellia faces genocide, even if she doesn’t know it yet. The derailment of her life all started when she was 10 years old; when the Coalition stole her father in the night. And for the long-lived, reptilian savari, 10 is especially young.

Her ensuing life on the capital’s dangerous streets proves that strength is a must and trust can be deadly; an understandable opinion among a society who occasionally give birth to feral predators and whose criminal underground has viewed her as a mere resource. So, when the opportunity arises to leave her miserable reality behind and enlist in the ranks of a resistance, Ellia is willing to break her own rules; to take the risk.

Yet, she can’t shake the feeling that something bigger is going on. This ‘Resistance’ is hiding something, and whispers are circulating about an ancient threat returning from the recesses of history: the Nekerians. If that’s the case, then the squabbles dictating every breath she’s taken for the last decade would be embers next to an inferno.

An inferno that could consume all of Known Space. And only one father-abducting central government would wield the power to stop them.
